Decarbonization: In Boulder County, we can and must lead the way on decarbonization. As Commissioner I will advocate to set an aggressive countywide target for becoming carbon neutral. Additionally, I will advocate to create additional incentives for community members to make transitions on things like electrification of buildings, adopting electric vehicles, and taking advantage of telework and reliable transit. We also must restrict oil and gas extraction to the maximum extent possible and proactively cap wells
Open Space: Nature is one of the things that makes Boulder County so special. We need to continue to be responsible stewards of our public lands and ensure that there are protected areas for habit and designated areas for recreation and enjoyment of the outdoors.

Supported the ban on the use of glyphosate, 2,4D, organophosphates, and neonicotinoids on City of Louisville parks and Open Space
Supported referring a measure to voters for a 25 cent bag tax on all single use bags at all stores (voters passed it overwhelmingly)
Supported the passage of the first in state Net Zero Residential Building Code
Supported the passage of the 2021 International Energy Efficiency Code
Spearheaded setting municipal and community wide targets for carbon emission reduction
Supported first ever Louisville Sustainability Master Plan
Supported the first ever Louisville Transportation Master Plan which focuses on improving our multimodal systems and safety
Spearheaded the transition of all municipal electric energy to carbon-free sources
Supported the purchase of the Mayhoffer Open Space (165 acres)
Supported the implementation of the Green Business program
Supported an oil and gas pre-registration requirement to protect Louisville from drilling
